Where is Kachemak Bay?
Kachemak Bay is located on the Kenai Peninsula in South Central Alaska. The Bay is home to the communities of Homer, Halibut Cove, Seldovia, Nanwalek, Port Graham, and Kachemak City, three Old Believer settlements in the Fox River area, Voznesenka, Kachemak Selo, and Razdolna, as well as a diverse coastal ecosystem.
The Kachemak Bay Environmental Education Alliance was founded in March 2000. The Alliance is made up of the diverse array of organizations in Kachemak Bay that serve kids, educators, community members and visitors.
We, the Kachemak Bay Environmental Education Alliance are united in our efforts to educate and inspire individuals and the Kachemak Bay community to actively participate in environmental stewardship as integral elements of a healthy sustainable ecosystem.
